We’re looking for an Events Manager to collaborate with our North America marketing team to drive engagement, pipeline growth and revenue for sales through our global events program. This role is ideal for candidates with a passion for event marketing, experience in B2B technology, and an proven track record of orchestrating hosted events, trade shows and virtual events across markets.
 
You will collaborate closely with Sales, Product Marketing, and Demand Marketing teams to identify target shows, develop personalized strategies to reach prospects and customers, and deliver compelling campaigns that translate into revenue.
 
Tracking and managing budgeted marketing expenses associated with events and reporting on ROI results are key components of this role. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Global Events.
 
 
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the coordination and planning of Black Duck trade shows, hosted events, internal conferences and seminars
• Coordinate within established budgetary and procedural guidelines including vendor management, financial tracking and reporting, promotion, and follow up
• Collaborate with marketing team and other internal stakeholders to optimize promotion and event attendance
• Order trade show services, program-manage deliverables, develop booth programs, and manage booth staff
• Write compelling and engaging copy for event landing pages, email campaigns, social media promotion and other event-related content as needed
• Research and evaluate existing and new tradeshows
• Analyze and report on event ROI and impact
• Assist in event execution - venue selection and negotiation, vendors, creative/design, deliverables, logistics, and operations
• Maintain annual calendar of global events
• Manage inventory of all event related items
 
Requirements:
• 2+ years of event marketing experience, preferably in a B2B technology company
• Travel required to tradeshows and events 50%
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, event management, or related field
• Demonstrated organizational skills and strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to work within tight timeframes and on multiple projects
• Knowledge of event best practices
• Interest and experience in the application of AI for marketing
• Cybersecurity and/or software development industry experience preferred

 

 

 

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $65,800-$98,700. In addition, this role is eligible for a bonus. Black Duck offers a competitive total rewards package. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
