The EU Project Manager - Security Engineer role blends project management expertise with a strong background in information security, focused on overseeing and executing European Union-funded projects related to cybersecurity and data protection. This position will be responsible for ensuring project objectives are met while maintaining a secure and compliant project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate EU-funded cybersecurity projects, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and timelines.
- Develop and implement security strategies, policies, and controls specific to each project, ensuring that data protection standards are met.
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits to evaluate vulnerabilities and mitigate potential threats within project scopes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and international partners to align security initiatives with project goals.
- Prepare project documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders and project reviews.
- Facilitate communication among project partners, ensuring timely updates and adherence to project milestones.
- Lead incident response efforts for any security breaches that may occur during project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Proven experience in project management, particularly with EU-funded projects (Horizon Europe, Digital Europe etc.).
- Strong background in information security principles, technologies, and best practices.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, security audits, and vulnerability assessments.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal; knowledge of additional EU languages is a plus.
