Purpose of the Role
To aid the Director of Operations Manager with Estimating activities. Using a combination of industry experience and data gathered through administration of RFP sourcing events, this individual will play a key role in growing the business and enhancing margins.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Work with cross-functional team to create RFP (Request for Proposal) packages from customer requirements and supporting specifications.
- Lead RFP events end to end, inclusive of direct supplier engagement, negotiation, pricing capture, and review & analysis.
- Utilize industry knowledge and experience to provide High Level estimates based on a limited amount of information and lead time.
- Aggregation of supplier data into Estimating Tools to ensure all requirements are satisfied, all costs are sufficiently accounted for, and all risks mitigated.
- Provide analytical Estimate summaries to stakeholders, to aid in price setting.
- Configure client facing submittal documents and internal reports.
- Maintain databases and archival records while looking for trends and impactful insights.
- Act as a liaison between departments to ensure alignment.
- Facilitate regular meetings and status updates.
- Ensures smooth transfer from Estimating to Release to Production upon award.
- Provide feedback to 360 Supply Partners while supporting and enhancing working relationships.
- Special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required, technical field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of Manufacturing experience required.
- Minimum 5 years of Signage Industry experience required.
- Full proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
- Experience with RFP/RFI processes and vendor selection
- Ability to perform cost/price analysis and evaluate supplier proposals.
- Direct Estimating experience preferred.
- Experience with an outsourced sourcing model preferred.
- Experience in identifying and implementing estimating software desired.
