Are you ready to lead frontline teams and keep our communities safe, clean, and welcoming? As our Estate Services Assistant Manager, you’ll make sure standards are met, staff are supported, and work is delivered efficiently, whilst championing Health & Safety and keeping our people, equipment and neighbourhoods in top shape.

37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, times are 8am start with 4.00pm finish (3.30pm Fridays) with a 30 minute break for lunch.

Duties include:

  • Manage a large team of staff, full and part time, agency workers and trainees by supporting and managing the Team Leaders in the supervision of operational service delivery
  • Provide an efficient and effective service to customers, ensuring that Incommunities requirements, specifications standards, compliance and frequencies are met, through the efficient and effective deployment of labour, vehicles, machinery, plant, tools and contractors.
  • Deal with and resolve day to day staffing issues and concerns, including staff performance reviews, check ins, sickness, any disciplinary concerns.
  • Provide mentoring and training to new and existing staff as required.
  • Ensure Health and Safety policies and procedures are applied, and that risk assessments and checks are undertaken to ensure a safe working environment, including the maintenance and repair of all equipment, tools and vans.

Requirements

  • Experience of supervising, directing and supporting teams of people.
  • Ability to be an effective team player, good organisational skills, good problem solving skills and experience of managing your own work  load.
  • Provide information in report form and assist in planning and developing work plans and procedures.
  • Experience of using IT Microsoft packages, Word, Excel, Outlook and the internet for work purposes  
  • A current full manual UK car driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle for work

A basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required for the successful candidate as part of the pre-employment process - Criminal Conviction Checks
