Your mission

We are expanding our Energy Storage EPC footprint in Europe and are looking for a Business Development Manager (ESS EPC) to drive utility scale battery storage growth across one of Europe’s most competitive and fastest evolving energy markets.

  • Lead EPC business development for utility scale Energy Storage (BESS) projects across Germany, from early opportunity identification through to contract signature.
  • Build and manage a robust EPC project pipeline, engaging with developers, IPPs, utilities, investors, and strategic partners.
  • Develop and execute go to market and bid strategies aligned with market demand, regulatory frameworks, and competitive dynamics.
  • Drive commercial negotiations 
  • Monitor market trends, auction mechanisms, grid connection rules, permitting, and regulatory developments impacting energy storage deployment in Germany. 
  • Provide market intelligence and strategic input to senior leadership to support long term growth and product positioning.
  • Represent the company at industry forums, conferences, and high level client meetings, strengthening brand position as a Tier1 EPC and storage partner.
  • Connect with reliable EPCs in the relevant region in EU
  • Bid for EPC projects or monitor and support for EPC projects depending on direct or indirect contracting
  • Support the connection, monitor and work with the 3rd party Engineering consultant company

Your profile

  • To succeed in this role, you bring a strong combination of commercial drive, technical credibility, and market insight, ideally gained within the renewable EPC or BESS ecosystem.
  • 5–10+ years in EPC business development, sales, or commercial roles within renewable energy, energy storage, or power infrastructure.
  • Solid understanding of utility scale BESS technologies, EPC project lifecycle, and commercial structures.
  • In depth knowledge of the regional energy market, including regulatory frameworks, grid requirements, permitting, and revenue models for storage.
  • Strong deal closing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a fast paced, international environment 
  • Comfortable engaging at C level and senior decision maker level with customers and partners
