Job Summary
Martin Marietta is currently looking for energized individuals to join our team at Linn County Sand Plant in Ely, IA. This position would be responsible for operating a variety of mining equipment, including skid loader and dredge, haul trucks, loaders and water trucks.

Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for operating a variety of off-road haul trucks and other equipment utilized in mining which could include dredge, loaders, skid loader, etc.
- Perform daily inspection of vehicle and work area assigned
- Observe visual and auditory signals during vehicle operation
- Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, clean equipment
- Assist on plant maintenance and repairs as needed
- Other mining related duties as required
Minimum Education and Experience
- High school Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 1-year previous experience in a role with similar responsibilities
- Bi-Lingual is a plus
- Must have a valid US driver’s license
Physical Abilities
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
- General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling material
