The Opportunity

Due to strategic business growth on the American continent, we are seeking a Project Manager to join our expanding Houston office. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an innovative, dynamic company in a unique market, offering significant autonomy and growth potential.

This role will manage complex EPC projects from kick-off through completion, while working with cutting-edge cryogenic technology and building relationships with industry-leading clients. This position will manage complex full-scope EPC/EPCI projects from engineering through procurement and fabrication to completion. You will oversee all project phases—not just engineering or construction—ensuring comprehensive project delivery from start to finish. You'll work with cutting-edge cryogenic technology, manage relationships with clients (operators) and vendors/subcontractors, and contribute to building our Americas-focused team.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Planning

  • Manage complete EPC project scope: Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication/Construction
  • Establish project vision, goals, and success criteria with clients and project teams
  • Develop comprehensive project execution plans and detailed budgets
  • Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Ensure proper billing and payment collection per contract terms

Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and manage project organizations with clear responsibilities and communication channels
  • Secure qualified resources throughout project duration
  • Establish positive collaborative relationships with clients and suppliers/subcontractors
  • Manage contract changes and subcontractor claims

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure contract specifications and applicable codes/standards are met
  • Implement real-time project KPI monitoring systems
  • Champion HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) values and safety culture
  • Manage risks and opportunities effectively throughout project lifecycle

Communication & Reporting

  • Provide accurate, timely project status reporting to clients and management
  • Prepare comprehensive project close-out documentation
  • Apply lessons learned from previous projects

Work Environment

  • Location: Houston, Texas (on-site position)
  • Travel: Moderate travel required to visit vendors, work sites, and our European headquarters office
  • Reporting: Local reporting to Project Director in Houston; functional reporting to Projects & Operations Director in Europe
  • Team: Join a small, growing team with significant expansion planned

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering Sciences
  • Minimum 10 years of successful experience as Project Manager/Leader on EPC/EPCI projects (contractor side)
  • Complete end-to-end project experience: Must have managed full project scope including engineering, procurement, AND fabrication/construction phases on the same project—not just portions
  • Significant oil & gas industry experience, preferably with pipeline projects
  • Experience with greenfield projects
  • Ability to manage complex, multi-year projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Passion for technical innovation and continuous learning

Technical Skills

  • Strong technical agility and curiosity
  • Deep knowledge of pipeline or offshore EPC project risks (engineering/fabrication/construction)
  • Expertise in oil & gas technical standards, including QHSE specificities
  • Proven project management and subcontractor management capabilities
  • Team and organizational management experience
