Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (project managers, engineers, GIS specialists, environmental consultants, and real estate coordinators) to prepare and submit permit applications.
  • Manage the end-to-end permitting process for railroad and turnpike crossings to facilitate utility construction activities.
  • Obtain entry and access permits as required for linear infrastructure construction.
  • Support additional permitting tasks related to environmental, fiber, and communication scopes when needed.
  • Interact with construction contractors to ensure permitting compliance across electrical transmission, fiber installation, foundations, road building, and restoration projects.
  • Assist with document research and support permitting needs for electrical distribution projects.
  • Ensure permitting timelines and regulatory requirements are met across multiple projects.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related natural science field from an accredited institution, with 4 years of permitting experience
    OR
    Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field, with 3 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience preparing and managing permitting applications for infrastructure-related environmental impact projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple permitting efforts simultaneously
  • Excellent time management, organization, and analytical problem-solving abilities
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to qualify for company vehicle privileges
