HCL Software – AppScan Technical Advisor
HCL Software is seeking a dynamic AppScan Technical Advisor to drive growth and innovation in application security. In this customer-facing Pre-Sales role, you will be the trusted technical partner for our clients, ensuring their requirements are met with tailored software solutions. You will conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and Proof of Concepts (PoCs), collaborating closely with HCL Software Sales teams to shape, advance, and close opportunities across licenses, subscriptions, support, and services.
As a Technical Advisor, you will take a solution-focused approach to identify and deliver value, bridging the gap between customer needs and HCL Software capabilities. You’ll work hand-in-hand with Sales, Product Management, Professional Services, Development, Support, and Client Advocacy to ensure a seamless customer experience and accelerate revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
Technically identify and progress opportunities by informing customers of best practices and shaping decisions and outcomes
Lead technical responses to customer RF(x)’s for AppScan
Lead AppScan demonstrations, proof of concepts, technical innovation workshops
Assist Sales with presenting Professional Services
Support Customer Experience Team with adoption and renewals
Lead product enablement sessions for select channel partners in your territory
Become a technical product expert in all facets of AppScan
Contribute to technical collateral for re-usable sales and product purposes
Work collaboratively across the HCL Software Sales and Services team, to drive results
Be willing to develop technical skills, learn new products and expertise in every industry
Leverage existing relationships or commitment to expand network via LinkedIn, or other social platforms to drive customer contacts, relationships, and product awareness
Desired Technical Skills and Experience:
Familiar with common Application Security Testing technologies (DAST, SAST, SCA, IaC, IAST, RASP, CSPM, API Sec, etc.),
Familiar with modern software development languages (e.g., NET framework languages, Java, Python, JavaScript, C/C++, etc.)
Experience with at least one scripting language
Experience with any of the following Application Security products (AppScan, Snyk, Checkmarx, Invicti, OpenText (Fortify), Synopsys, Sonatype, Imperva, F5, Burp, etc.)
Experience with Linux administration (e.g. RHEL, Ubuntu, etc.)
Experience with Kubernetes administration (e.g. Kubernetes clusters, Helm, Docker, cloud platforms, etc.)
Vast knowledge of developer and DevOps methodologies, trends, ecosystems, and best practices
Language Requirements:
German – mandatory for the German, Austrian, and Swiss market.
English – professional level, as the company’s working language.
