We are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager to lead strategic risk, business, and control transformation programmes for our clients. In this role, you will lead the delivery of strategic risk and business transformation solutions, contributing to the Deloitte Africa Enterprise Risk Management Market Offering. Working closely with the Deloitte global Strategic & Operational Risk community of practice, you will develop and implement innovative consulting and digital solutions that address our clients’ most complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resource and manage engagement teams, ensuring optimal talent balance and recruitment as needed.
  • Advise senior client leadership on strategic risk decisions, leveraging deep understanding of client strategy.
  • Lead risk assessment and mitigation programmes aligned with enterprise frameworks.
  • Design and implement innovative business process solutions, including architecture and operating models.
  • Develop compelling reports and presentations to influence client adoption of recommendations.
  • Demonstrate executive presence, establishing credibility and building rapport at all levels.
  • Drive sales and business development, negotiating profitable transactions and leading proposal development.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of strategic risk and control transformation programmes.
  • Advise boards, CEOs, and risk leaders on risk management practices and future risk implications.
  • Implement Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) and bespoke digital risk solutions, enabling clients to integrate risk and compliance into business processes.

Key Requirements

  • Significant experience in risk strategy, business consulting, and controls transformation.
  • Proven large programme management experience.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence at C-suite level.
  • Demonstrated sales and business development capability.
  • Expertise in GRC and digital risk solutions implementation.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to innovate and drive profitable business growth.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Appropriate Honours degree in Risk Management, Accounting, IT, Engineering.

Desired Qualifications

  • CA(SA), CIMA, Appropriate risk accreditation, BSC Engineering or similar BSC degree, MBA, equivalent Honours degree and professional certification.

Minimum Experience

  • 7+ years experience advising senior client executives and GRC functions, including strategic risk, control transformation and business transformation programs.

Desired Experience

  • 7-10 years in a client facing role responsible for business development, strategy, risk and business consulting; 3 to 5 of these in a management role.
  • IT and GRC solution experience is an advantage
  • Digital and Analytics is an advantage
