Dark Wolf is seeking an Enterprise Architect I to provide support to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) – Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) division.

HUD’s EA and IV&V Support services has a requirement to create integrated, unified, and comprehensive enterprise architecture program and associated management processes (e.g., office, etc.) In maturing the EA Support Services, HUD’s approach of Architect, Invest and Implement will be used to ensure mission performance within the HUD business areas including the effective and efficient alignment of HUD’s information technology (IT) resources with its strategic business objectives.

The EA Support Services support will integrate elements of strategy, planning, and engineering to provide HUD OCIO with a holistic view of the HUD IT portfolio – through a variety of lenses (e.g., acquisition, project management, technology, and cybersecurity).

The Enterprise Architect I will assist with designing architecture for an organization on an enterprise level.  The Enterprise Architect I shall help define system and application architecture and provides vision, problem anticipation, and problem-solving ability to organization.  The Enterprise Architect I will demonstrate expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures in Enterprise Architecture (EA).  The Enterprise Architect I will possess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the EA field.

Clearance Requirement:  Ability to obtain Public Trust Level 5

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with designing architecture for an organization on an enterprise level
  • Help define system and application architecture and provides vision, problem anticipation, and problem-solving ability to organization
  • Demonstrate expertise in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures in EA
  • Possess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the EA field
  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Work under immediate supervision and guidance of the Senior Project Manager and Program

Education and Certification Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Architecture, Data Architecture, Application Architecture, Network Architecture, Security Architecture, or similar discipline with 2 years of relevant experience or master’s degree (same disciplines) with 1 year of relevant experience.

Background and Experience:

2+ years’ experience.

In lieu of the two (2) years of experience, the Enterprise Architect I may have a master’s degree from an accredited academic institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in one or more of the following disciplines in Business Architecture, Data Architecture, Application Architecture, Network Architecture, Security Architecture, or a similar discipline, with a minimum of one (1) year of experience working under a similar project

Experience with Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) framework, GAO EA Maturity Model, OMB EA compliance requirements and Federal Segment Architecture Methodology (FSAM).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.  The working environment is generally favorable.  Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.  Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
  • Contractor site with 0-10% travel possible
  • Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages
  • 10 lbs. maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles
  • Occasionally required to stand; frequently required to walk and sit
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
  • Continually required to talk or hear
  • Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
