Enterprise Account Executive - Insurance

Barangaroo , Australia
full-time Hybrid

AI overview

Drive enterprise sales by building relationships with insurance companies and leveraging geospatial intelligence and AI tools to optimize their operations.

We're hiring an Enterprise Account Executive to focus on winning and growing enterprise insurance accounts across ANZ. You'll build relationships with insurers, understand their business challenges and aspirations across the insurance lifecycle, and show them how our geospatial intelligence and AI tools create real value for their operations.

The job:

  • Own enterprise accounts end-to-end. From prospecting and discovery through closing and ensuring customers get real value

  • Guide Nearmap teams supporting sales activity, leading with courtesy and professionalism

  • Build trusted relationships with C-suite and operational stakeholders at insurance companies. Understand their business performance challenges, customer buying cycles, and how they make decisions

  • Work closely with your dedicated Customer Success Manager to make sure customers succeed post-sale. That's where long-term trust, customer value realisation and retention happens

  • Lead complex negotiations with customer business units and procurement teams. Navigate competing priorities and build commercial agreements that work for both sides

  • Partner with our Customer Success, Marketing, and Solutions teams to craft compelling proposals that address what insurers actually need

  • Generate pipeline and drive new business development while managing your existing account portfolio

  • Travel domestically to meet customers and build relationships face-to-face

  • Coordinate with Nearmap stakeholders during customer engagements, such as Marketing, Solutions Engineers, to demonstrate expertise and build confidence

What we're after:

  • 5+ years selling SaaS software to Enterprise companies. You've personally closed $500K+ deals and have a demonstrable history of success

  • You know how to articulate ROI to CFOs and translate technical capability into business outcomes

  • You'd rather build long-term customer trust than chase commission

  • Existing understanding of, and relationships with, general insurers across Australia is a nice to have

  • You've navigated multi-stakeholder buying cycles where Risk, Underwriting, Claims, IT, and Procurement all have a say. You don't just push deals through; you orchestrate them

  • Deep understanding of insurance operations - underwriting workflows, claims processes, risk assessment, portfolio management

  • Track record managing technical sales involving data teams, IT stakeholders, and business decision-makers

What you should know:

  • This is a role that will require hard work and flexibility, using enterprise sales skills you already have and applying them to sell a product with genuine competitive advantage

  • You'll be working with people who care about building long term partnerships with customers and creating a great team environment to work in. These are just as important as hitting your numbers, and hitting your numbers is really important!
