About the Role: At Plenti, we’re on a mission to make lending faster, fairer and more accessible. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for an experienced Engineering Team Lead to lead one of our high-performing engineering teams. This is a leadership-focused role with strong technical oversight, blending people leadership, delivery ownership and architectural guidance. You’ll work closely with Product Managers and senior engineering stakeholders to drive innovation, uplift our technology stack and ensure the successful delivery of scalable, high-quality solutions. We’re seeking someone passionate about building high-performing teams, fostering accountability and creating a collaborative engineering culture where quality and continuous improvement are at the forefront. Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership & Delivery • Partner with Product Managers to assess upcoming initiatives and shape robust technical solutions • Translate high-level requirements into clear, structured and deliverable backlogs • Collaborate with Principal Engineers, Staff Engineers and Architects to align on technical direction and standards • Provide guidance on solution design and implementation to ensure alignment with best practices and long-term scalability Team Leadership • Lead, coach and support engineers to deliver high-quality outcomes • Set clear priorities and ensure effective planning and execution of work • Make final decisions on task allocation and delivery approach within the team • Mentor engineers to support their technical development and career growth • Foster a high-performance, accountable and inclusive team environment Quality, Reliability & Process Improvement • Ensure technical initiatives (including tech debt and platform uplift) are appropriately prioritised • Oversee incident management, ensuring timely resolution and clear ownership • Maintain and continuously improve product quality, reliability and performance • Drive improvements in engineering processes, tooling and ways of working About You: • Extensive experience with .NET / C#, with a strong foundation in solution design • Proven management experience, with a track record of empowering teams and improving engineering processes • Experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex technical initiatives • Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and microservices • Solid knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and best practices • Proven ability to establish and uphold high coding standards across teams • A strong advocacy for test-driven development (TDD) • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
