About the Role

We are hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a product engineering team building core capabilities of the Tabs platform. You will be responsible for people leadership, delivery execution, and technical decision-making, while partnering closely with Product and Design.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building high-performing teams, improving engineering processes, and shipping impactful software in a fast-moving environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and develop a team of software engineers through coaching, feedback, and career growth

  • Own delivery planning and execution for your team, ensuring predictable and high-quality outcomes

  • Partner with Product and Design to define scope, timelines, and technical approach

  • Guide architectural and technical decisions while maintaining a high quality bar

  • Improve engineering processes, tooling, and team health over time

  • Hire and onboard new engineers as the team scales

Who You Are

  • A people-first engineering leader who enjoys growing other engineers

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making pragmatic tradeoffs

  • Technically credible, with strong system design and engineering fundamentals

  • Clear communicator who builds trust across functions

  • Accountable, proactive, and continuously looking to improve how teams work

Experience

  • 7–10+ years of software engineering experience

  • 3+ years managing engineers in a product-focused environment

  • Experience working closely with Product and Design

  • Background in modern backend, frontend, or full-stack systems

  • Startup or high-growth company experience preferred
