Key Responsibilities
● Mentor/grow/retain engineers and strengthen relationships across internal and external and local
and remote resources
● Bring Conversational AI projects to life: Lead/organize the engineering team, define
architectural/technical requirements, develop and improve the platform, integrate with other
systems, collaborate with Sutherland Global and client teams to gather technical requirements,
support, educate
● Develop standards to ensure scalability, system resiliency and performance
● Enhance tools and processes to accelerate development, improve teamwork, increase efficiency,
capabilities, robustness, quality, etc
● Work with a diverse team across multiple time zones (in-house & offshore)
● Work with Data Scientists, Machine learning experts and external partners to drive improvements
to the AI/ML capabilities of the platform
● Provide thought leadership on technologies, development and collaboration processes, industry
standard methodologies.
● 10+ years of experience leading and building scalable web products, services and platforms
● Experience building large scale application architectures in complex environments
● Experience with cloud-native builds working with API end-points, microservices and
contemporary web architectures
● Experience with modern dev/ops architectures and tools
● Fluent in several of these languages: NodeJS, Javascript, Python, Rails, etc.
● You have full-stack cloud infrastructure knowledge with appreciation of high availability systems
across wide-ranging environments, including legacy systems
● Prior experience across different working environments, including: agency/dev shop, enterprise,
startups and innovation divisions a plus
● Prior experience with Chatbot/IVR, ML/AI development, messaging apps and platforms
development a plus
● Prior experience with data science, ML/AI development, Amazon Lex, Google DialogFlow,
meya.ai, Watson a plus
