Engineering Manager / Solutions Architect (Acting CTO)

About the Role

We are looking for a visionary tech leader to guide our growing team, shape our architectural decisions, and ultimately become our technology partner. We need a "T-shaped" leader—someone who can act as a trusted tech consultant in client meetings, a visionary system designer, and a hands-on mentor to the engineering team.

This is not just another lead role. You’ll become the technical heartbeat of Crenno — the person who brings vision, structure, and velocity to our software development life cycle (SDLC). You’ll help us modernize our stack, introduce emerging technologies (e.g., AI Agents, LLMs, Agent Frameworks), and ensure we scale with quality, speed, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture & E2E Delivery: Analyze effort, budget, and feasibility for incoming client projects. Design end-to-end, scalable architectures across Mobile, Web, and Backend ecosystems.

• Client Relations & Pre-Sales: Act as the technical authority in client meetings. Translate complex technical requirements into actionable business logic and provide realistic, phased solutions.

• Game & High-Traffic Infrastructure: Build low-latency, high-concurrency backend and database infrastructures for our internal projects capable of handling thousands of concurrent users.

• Team & Resource Orchestration: Manage the core internal team, coordinate external vendors/freelance resources, conduct technical interviews, and synchronize in-house and outsourced teams toward a unified goal.

• Hands-on Leadership: Lead by example. While you won't write every line of code, we expect you to open your IDE for critical backend modules, conduct rigorous Code Reviews, and streamline CI/CD pipelines.

Technical Requirements

• Backend & System Design: Deep, hands-on experience in modern languages (Node.js, Go, Python, or Java). Expertise in microservices architecture, REST/GraphQL API design, and large-scale System Design.

• Databases: Strong background in schema design and performance optimization for both Relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) systems.

• Cloud & DevOps: Proficiency in AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

• Frontend & Mobile Awareness: A strong architectural understanding of modern UI (React, Vue) and Mobile (Flutter, Swift, Kotlin) ecosystems to effectively guide cross-functional teams and spot structural flaws.

Education & Experience

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 7-10+ years of proven experience in software engineering and system architecture, coupled with at least 3+ years in an engineering management, tech lead, or solutions architect role.

• Fluent English to comfortably manage international clients, document architectures, and handle external vendor relations.

• A proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset—someone who answers difficult requests with "here is how we can solve it" instead of a flat "no."
