Lendbuzz is expanding its global engineering presence with a new hub in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and we are hiring our first local engineering leader. As an Engineering Manager & Site Lead, you will play a dual role: Engineering Leadership: Hire and guide a team of engineers to design, build, and deliver critical functionality for Lendbuzz’s platform, applying best-in-class architectural and development practices. Site Leadership: Scale the Buenos Aires office, establish foundational engineering processes, and shape a high-performance, collaborative culture. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who can contribute directly to complex systems while mentoring and motivating a growing team. You will help define processes, standards, and culture for a new engineering site and set the foundation for long-term growth. Growth Opportunity As the Buenos Aires office expands, this role will evolve to oversee multiple teams and functions. You will help shape the strategic direction of Lendbuzz’s engineering presence in Argentina and become a key contributor to our global technology leadership, with opportunities for senior leadership and broad organizational impact as the site scales through 2026 and beyond. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality, scalable software
  • Contribute hands-on to development as part of your regular responsibilities
  • Maintain engineering best practices and align with global technical standards

  • Product & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and global teams to deliver features and platform enhancements
  • Guide the team through planning, execution, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure reliable production operations with DevOps/SRE collaboration

  • Site Leadership & Organizational Excellence
  • Build a high-performance, inclusive culture in the Buenos Aires office
  • Recruit, hire, and grow a multi-functional engineering team
  • Collaborate with U.S. leadership on strategy, growth, and long-term site development
  • Key Requirements:
  • 7–10 years of software engineering experience, preferably in SaaS or fintech, with 2–3 years in engineering management or team leadership
  • Strong hands-on technical expertise in React, TypeScript, Node.js (REST APIs, microservices), Ruby/Python/SQL, and DevOps fundamentals (Linux, Bash, Docker, CI/CD)
  • Experience working with distributed, cross-border teams, with strong skills in debugging, optimization, and unit/integration testing
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop engineers, with excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) to collaborate effectively with U.S. teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience working in mid-sized companies (approx. 300–1,000 employees); mobile app development experience is a plus
  • Nice-to-Have:
  • Prior experience launching or scaling a new engineering office or building a team from the ground up
  • Background in fintech, automotive, lending, or financial-services platforms
