At PVcase, we're building the software that's eliminating inefficiencies in solar development, clearing the path to a net-zero economy. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our team that focuses on our end-to-end platform that connects site selection, PV design, and yield estimation, enabling data to flow seamlessly between stages.
You will act as a technical mentor, guide strategic decisions, collaborate and align with product, design, and engineering to deliver a unified customer experience and inspire your team to do their best work. If you're a technical leader with a proven passion for people management who wants to make a tangible impact on our planet's future, we want to hear from you.
In this role, you will:
Lead and mentor a high-performing, collaborative, and distributed team of 5-8 software engineers, supporting them to grow both technically and professionally.
Orchestrate the team's delivery, partnering with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to ensure quality, alignment, and clear communication across the organization.
Guide your team in moving from uncertainty to action by helping them break down complex challenges into actionable steps without losing sight of the big picture.
Empower the team to own their software development lifecycle (SDLC), fostering a culture of continuous improvement and sustainable delivery.
Guide your team’s technical strategy by facilitating architectural decisions, promoting modern engineering practices, and ensuring smart, sustainable trade-offs.
You have a proven track record of cultivating trust and high performance within remote or distributed engineering teams, regardless of whether they are working from a home office or a local hub.
You have experience guiding teams through the lifecycle of shipping commercial B2B or SaaS products in the cloud.
You excel at stakeholder management, acting as a natural translator who connects technical constraints with the broader product vision
You take pride in watching your team members grow and advance in their careers.
You are a champion of healthy team dynamics, adapting Agile and Lean principles to fit the unique rhythm of your team rather than following a rigid playbook
You can distill complex technical ideas into clear, engaging concepts for both engineering peers and non-technical partners.
You are AI-forward: You have a strong interest in (or experience with) how AI-enabled development-such as LLMs or AI agents-can enhance data workflows and improve the developer experience.
Don't meet every single requirement ? We value diverse perspectives and transferable skills. If you’re passionate about solar and have led engineering teams, we’d still love to hear from you.
Bonus Skills (Nice-to-haves)
Hands-on experience with microservices, distributed systems & APIs, particularly within AWS environments.
A track record of fostering a culture of sustainable delivery, including improving system observability and reliability.
Prior experience in or a passion for renewable energy, solar, or electrical engineering, helping you better understand our customers' unique challenges.
