About the Role 

We are building the next generation of our Edge Network platform and are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead teams developing high-performance edge systems. Edge networks are computing and networking capabilities deployed close to end users and include CDN, security, compute, dns, and traffic management services. Our stack includes nginx/C/lua, Rust, eBPF, a lot of Go services powering configuration pipeline, orchestration, observability, log delivery. This role blends people leadership with strong technical expertise - you will coach engineers, guide technical decisions, and ensure reliable, performant delivery. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Lead and grow multiple engineering teams working on Edge Networking services. 
  • Partner with Product and SRE to deliver scalable, highly reliable systems. 
  • Guide technical design and implementation across data/management/control planes. 
  • Ensure high engineering standards in code quality, architecture, and operations. 
  • Drive hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and career development. 
  • Build a culture of ownership, learning, and technical excellence. 

 

    What We’re Looking For 

    • Proven experience managing or leading engineering teams. 
    • Strong technical background in systems engineering, networking, or distributed services. 
    • Solid knowledge of Linux, performance optimization, and large-scale production systems, concurrent and async programming. 
    • Hands-on experience with Go, C, Rust, or similar system-level programming. 
    • Strong communication skills and ability to align across multiple teams. 

    Nice to Have 

    • Background in CDN, edge networking, or high-throughput infrastructure. 
    • Familiarity with BPF, Nginx/OpenResty, tokio, or large-scale config systems. 
    • Experience in multi-team leadership and cross-functional delivery.
