We're building a one-stop shop for investing that gives power back to individual investors. Finary lets users track their assets, manage budgets, invest money, and learn about finance, all in one place.
Launched in 2021, we've grown to 850,000+ users. In September 2025, we closed a €25M Series B led by PayPal Ventures, with backing from Y Combinator, Hedosophia, Speedinvest, and founders from Qonto, Photoroom, Bitpanda, UBS, and Wise.
We care deeply about user experience, performance, and shipping products that genuinely improve people's financial lives.
You'll lead 1-2 squads of engineers (~6 each), owning both technical delivery and people growth. You'll partner with Product and Design to ship features that matter, while building a team that gets better every quarter. This is a hands-on leadership role: you won't write code daily, but you'll stay close enough to guide architecture and unblock your team.
Own delivery: Drive your squad's roadmap from planning to production. Prioritize ruthlessly, remove blockers, and ensure commitments are met.
Grow engineers: Run effective 1:1s, give direct feedback, and build career paths. Your success is measured by how fast your team develops.
Guide technical decisions: Participate in design reviews, challenge assumptions, and ensure your squad builds systems that scale.
Hire and raise the bar: Source, interview, and close top engineers. Shape what "great" looks like for your team.
Keep systems healthy: Own observability and reliability for your domain. Drive postmortems and make sure lessons stick.
Partner across functions: Work closely with Product and Design to turn business goals into shipped software.
4+ years leading engineering teams: You've managed engineers, not just projects. You've hired, coached, and had hard conversations.
Hands-on technical background: You've built production systems. You can read code, spot architectural risks, and earn your team's respect.
Cloud infrastructure experience: You're comfortable with distributed systems, observability tools, and production operations.
Fast-paced environment fit: You've worked somewhere that shipped weekly, not quarterly. You thrive when priorities shift.
Fluent in English: Written and spoken. Our engineering team works in English.
Nice to have:

Fintech or regulated industry background
Passion for personal finance and investing
Backend: Rust, Ruby, Python
