Engineering Manager Financial Services

Our Financial services group is focused on building backbones for world-class restaurant point of sale and retail solutions. We strive to reduce the coordination and complexity of running a full or quick service restaurant. You will work on building and supporting high availability, real time systems that are the secret sauce to providing a competitive edge to our customer base. As an Engineering Manager, you are a leader who can drive teams to their optimal output while cultivating a strong team culture and ensuring the growth of each and every member of your squad. Specifically, we are looking for an Engineering Manager who can:

• Provide oversight and leadership on technical direction
• Lead with empathy
• Collaborate well with others

Whether it’s working directly with developers on their architecture, doing people management, or influencing broader leadership decisions, you are able to keep an eye on our North Star and guide everyone toward those goals. We are solving problems of scale in a rapidly changing environment to help small businesses compete and win. 

As an Engineering Manager in Financial services, you will help teams deliver systems that are critical to payments operations, transaction processing and merchant deposits.

In broad terms, you will develop and execute a management program that:

• keeps your teams focused and engaged;
• maintains a regular release cadence and product backlog
• upholds a standard of timely and lossless communication; and
• builds the trust of the individual contributors on your teams.

On a daily basis you will:

• work with peers in Product, QA, and other Engineering departments;
• coach and mentor team members;
• cautiously drive adoption of new technologies and processes;
• preserve our engineering values of quality, scalability, and maintainability;
• “see around corners” — identify blind spots and prioritize work across teams;
• work with international teams to ensure successful product development and delivery; and
• own the overall architecture and systems engineering for your products.

Some qualifications you might possess:

• exceptional communication and organizational skills;
• experience recruiting for and building software engineering teams;
• the ability to inspire and motivate team members;
• a strong technical background in software engineering and architecture, and experience with modern programming languages and frameworks;
• 6+ years of software development experience; and
• 4+ years of experience managing software teams (as a Team Lead or a Manager) or similar experience as an individual contributor.

Compensation

The annual base pay range for this role is INR 60,00,000 – INR 80,00,000, depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
In addition to base salary, our total compensation package includes:
