As an Engineering Manager at Midas, you will be expected to ensure the successful execution of technical projects, foster a collaborative culture, and drive continuous improvement in both the team’s technical abilities and product outcomes. You will be responsible for the effective delivery of high-quality products on time, fostering a positive engineering culture, and empowering your team to reach their full potential.
What You’ll Do:
Manage engineering teams to design scalable and robust systems across critical data infrastructure.
Build and grow a team of talented software engineers and technical leaders within the Datastore and Reliability domain.
Work with product teams to deliver maximum customer value and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Own end-to-end delivery, including performance monitoring and incident management in production environments.
Foster a supportive team environment by understanding individual motivations, promoting collaboration, and guiding growth.
Lead the operation and continuous improvement of PostgreSQL, Redis, and MSSQL systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and strong reliability practices.
What You’ll Bring:
Experience solving large-scale problems for millions of users through scalable and reliable systems.
At least 2 years of technical leadership and people management experience in cross-functional teams.
Experience working within large and complex technical ecosystems, with strong database management expertise.
Ability to navigate technical and organizational dependencies, balancing trade-offs with partner teams.
Proven expertise in data infrastructure and production reliability, specifically with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL, MS SQL, and various NoSQL technologies.
