The Role:  

As our Engineering Manager focusing on Broker Platform engineering, you will play a crucial role mentoring peers and delivering a high-quality Broker Platform that is responsible for maintaining and delivering Forge experiences to the team of Brokers. You will identify new opportunities for enhancing our Broker Platform including how to integrate modern AI technologies and collaborate on the direction and roadmap for Broker Platform engineering initiatives. Collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams you’ll ensure seamless integration of data technologies into our products, setting new standards for user experience and application performance.

Location: This is a hybrid role where you'll be onsite 2-3 days a week in our Soho, NY office 

Responsibilities: 

  • Hire, lead, and mentor a team of engineers in designing and developing scalable web applications using React, Typescript, and .NET
  • Establish and maintain coding standards, code reviews, and continuous integration practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of project plans and contribute to architectural decisions
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in web software engineering and advocate for their appropriate adoption

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience as a Tech Lead, or in a management role, with a hands-on approach to coaching and mentoring data engineers
  • 6+ years of experience in development using Object oriented languages like Typescript, C#, or Java
  • Experience building modern front-end applications with React and backend APIs with C# and .NET
  • Experience working in Private Markets or Financial Services space specifically with brokerages
  • Proven expertise in working with CI/CD pipelines, managing application deployments, and ensuring code quality
  • Strong project management skills, leading small engineering teams (2-5 members) through the software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment, with hands-on coding in both backend and frontend
  • Proficient in Databases like PostgreSQL or RDS, SQL queries, and experience with cloud platforms like AWS or similar (Azure, GCP etc)
  • Extensive experience with version control systems like Git and platforms like GitHub
  • Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as JIRA or similar
  • Physical requirements: operate a computer for 8 hours per day; give and receive detailed information through verbal and written communication

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Experience with Event Sourcing and frameworks such as Marten
  • Knowledge of real-time data processing and event-driven architectures using technologies like Kafka and DAPR
  • Experience in leading US-based and near-shore team members
  • Experience using large language models and agentic workflows

For residents of New York, NY the annual salary range for this role is $$220,000 - $250,000 + annual bonus. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, bonus, and other factors
