Duties: Draw on professional experience, or demonstrable knowledge/skills with Python and PyTorch, designing data pipelines, 3D computer vision, linear algebra, parallelism, deep learning and optimization to design, train and analyze deep neural networks for applications such as Object detection, Segmentation, Sensor fusion, Multitask learning. Write clean reports, patents and publications for relevant ACM/IEEE journals and conferences such as CVPR, ICML, NeurIPS, IDDV, ICLR, IROS etc. Develop an efficient distributed deep learning codebase using Python and PyTorch for super-fast training and deploy pipelines. Use real-time state estimation and context from surroundings to predict the motion of surrounding vehicles and pedestrians for use with vehicle path planning. Develop clean C++ software for the perception modules that sit at the core of our autonomous vehicle perception and interface with all other key modules such localization, mapping, and planning. Build robust, reliable systems to handle common and uncommon situations on the road. Own the full life cycle of new features development from proof-of-concept stage to on-car software integration by coordinating with the downstream teams. Design and develop scalable and robust software for executing machine learning inference on the car. Analyze, optimize and tune performance of machine learning models on different hardware accelerators.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related technology/engineering field plus 2 years of experience reflecting demonstrable ability in the skill set described above.  Alternatively, the employer will accept a master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field combined with demonstrable ability in the skill/knowledge set described above. Salary range: from ninety thousand six hundred twenty-six dollars to two hundred one thousand eighty-one dollars per year. This position is eligible for employee referral programs.
