Test Double is a growing consultancy with over 120 consultants working remotely in the United States and Canada. As Test Double has grown, so have the demands on supporting and growing our ever-expanding group of talented consultants. We are looking for a delivery leader to join our virtual office and lead the consulting efforts of our teams.

 

Summary

We’re looking for a talented and thoughtful Engagement Partner to join our fully remote team and help our consultants and clients thrive. In this role, you’ll guide engagements from start to finish—setting clear expectations, building trusted client relationships, and supporting teams to deliver outstanding results that leave clients better than when we began. You’ll collaborate closely with our Experience Partner to align consultant support and engagement needs, while mentoring consultants to grow and do their best work. The right person brings strong leadership, consulting, and communication skills, along with a genuine passion for helping people succeed and creating meaningful client outcomes. Success in this role means exceeding expectations, delivering high-quality results, and fostering an environment where both clients and consultants can succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Engagement Leadership: Set clear expectations, align teams with client goals, and uphold Test Double’s quality standards.
  • Consultant Support: Provide proactive guidance to help consultants navigate and resolve engagement challenges early.
  • Feedback Loops: Gather and act on client and consultant feedback to drive improvement and recognize excellence.
  • Client Partnership: Build trust and evolve relationships into long-term strategic collaborations.
  • Performance Management: Collaborate closely with HR to address engagement performance or behavior issues, managing sensitive conversations about patterns or fit with care, fairness, and input from relevant partners.
  • Values Alignment: Ensure all work reflects Test Double’s mission, values, and high standards.
  • Team Enablement: Clarify objectives, remove blockers, and create conditions for consulting teams to deliver exceptional results.
  • Client Improvement: Identify root causes and implement solutions that leave clients stronger and more effective.
  • Staffing Input: Collaborate with the Experience Partner to align consultants with the right client opportunities.
  • Engagement Transitions: Oversee smooth onboarding, offboarding, and continuity for both clients and consultants.
  • Client Growth: Share insights, highlight successes, and help expand Test Double’s impact with clients.

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading cross-functional consulting teams and delivering complex software projects with successful results.
  • Skilled in mentoring, coaching, and guiding consultants to deliver high-quality work and grow professionally.
  • Strong ability to balance stakeholder expectations with delivering sustainable, high-quality software outcomes.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, with success in managing expectations, building trust, and delivering measurable value.
  • Clear and confident communicator—able to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, focused on delivering practical, actionable solutions.
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity, managing multiple priorities, and driving iterative progress.
  • Emotionally intelligent, humble, and empathetic in both leadership and collaboration.
  • Committed to continuous improvement, inclusion, and fostering a feedback-driven culture.
  • Effective collaborator with the Experience Partner and other team leaders to align staffing and consultant wellbeing.

Pay range and compensation package

  • Base Salary: $180,000 - $210,000 based upon capabilities and experience. 
  • Target Bonus of up to $20,000 tied to company profitability. 
  • Equity: Test Double is 100% employee-owned through our ESOP
