Primary Function:

The Ion Endoluminal Sales Representative (ESR) in Korea is crucial in promoting the adoption and integration of the Ion Endoluminal system by physicians and hospitals. This position enhances awareness and understanding of robotic-assisted bronchoscopy, expanding its value and utilization within the Korean healthcare landscape.

 

Essential Job Duties:

  • Sales: Responsible for all sales activities, including consumable product sales, incremental system sales, and procedure growth in existing installed hospitals.
  • Procedural and Hospital Support: Provide support to new users to ensure safety and effective progression through their learning curves. Activities typically include case observations, training labs, procedure support, and the training of hospital care teams.
  • Integration Planning: Collaborate with senior hospital staff and key physicians to develop and execute plans for effectively integrating Ion at new customer sites, ensuring ongoing commitment and utilization of the system.
  • Data Capture and Benchmarking: Facilitate the capture of critical user and procedural data to create effective benchmarking metrics.
  • Program Development: Work closely with the ESM and marketing team to build successful Ion programs through clinical, economic, and strategic validation.
  • Clinical Expertise: Become a clinical expert in Interventional Pulmonology, Thoracic Surgery, Interventional Radiology, and the multi-disciplinary integration of Thoracic Oncology programs.
  • Collaboration: Work with da Vinci local sales teams along with local and regional leadership to ensure consistent alignment and communication with internal and external stakeholders while implementing market strategies.
  • CRM Management: Responsibly manage the SalesForce.com platform, completing administrative tasks and submitting expense reports.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, including 2 or more years in healthcare sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complexity and work in a changing environment.
  • Proven ability to understand new market dynamics and drive adoption of disruptive technology.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Background in selling medical capital equipment and consumables.
  • Excellent clinical selling skills and ability to quickly develop credibility with a highly educated customer base.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% and located near a major airline hub.
  • Knowledge of the Pulmonology/Bronchoscopy space environment is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
