Encora Spark - UI/UX Designer Intern

Job Description 

We are passionate about understanding humans and what moves them, it’s what drives us. Encora’s UX Team takes a user-centered design approach to develop useful digital solutions such as iOS, Android and web apps. We are looking for a passionate, energetic design intern to join the Encora UX team in a long-term engagement. You’ll be involved in researching and designing for consumers by uncovering their attitudes and behaviors.   

As a Spark UX design intern, you will learn and work with a multidisciplinary team through some projects and UX Challenges.  

If you see yourself visualizing customer problems, telling user stories in a meaningful way, sketching out viable solutions, prototyping, and inspiring great design, you’ll fit right in.

As a UX/UI intern you will: 

• Design digital products from scratch  

• Design wireframes and prototypes 

• Improve your skills creating Design Systems and providing maintenance 

• Improve your User research skills  

• Practice different UX methods (Usability testing, heuristic evaluation, affinity diagram, etc.) 

• Collaborate with others designers, developers and product owners 

• Work with agile teams 

• Take ownership of an internal projects and challenges 

• Learn how to run product presentations with international clients 

Program Details: 

• Theory and practical classes and workshops 

• Spark program duration: 4-6 months 

• Post-Spark: 10-12 additional months process to keep uplifting your skills (applicable for hired Sparks) 

• Full Time, with some flexible working hours 

• Remote (only in Mexico) 

• Paid internship 

• Guidance and help with UX Teammates support 

• Real-world design experiences 

• “Figmaster” Certification at the end of the program 

Minimum skills required 

• Currently enrolled in the last semester or recent graduate of a bachelor's degree, preferably in a design or computer science related field no longer than 2 years (Graphic Designers, Mass media, Industrial Designers, Visual designers, Visual artists and Computer Science are desirable related careers) 

• Understanding of design basic concepts and good visual design skills (contrast, color, balance & rhythm) 

• Familiarized with UI Design Software (Figma, Sketch) 

• Able to visualize and prototype ideas to communicate designs 

• Quick learner, excellent problem-solving skills 

• Have a portfolio with at least one digital product designed 

• Fluent in English (Writing and speaking), with a minimum of B2 level 

• Location: Remote (in Mexico) 

Nice to have: 

• Basic knowledge of UX Research and/or Product design concepts & methods 

• Certifications or Bootcamps related with UX/UI design
