Lyra Health are looking for an Employee Relations and Policy Manager to help drive a culture of fairness, compliance, and positive employee relations across our operations, spanning over 21 countries. This is a critical role responsible for managing and resolving complex, high-risk workplace issues and serving as the subject matter expert on a wide array of employee relations matters. This role is also responsible for developing and training on country-specific HR policies, bringing critical expertise regarding our commitment to HR compliance and best practices.   Employee Relations (ER) serves as a safe space for Lyrians to raise concerns and share feedback that is critical to our business success and to aligning with our core values. Once a concern or feedback is communicated to ER, ER will conduct a thorough and diligent review in accordance with local requirements to ensure appropriate action is taken, as we strive to maintain an inclusive and supportive work environment. As the Employee Relations and Policy Manager, you will join a small, but mighty team responsible for making Lyra a better place to work by appropriately advising on and addressing Employee Relations concerns. This role is remote based in the UK but may be required to travel occasionally. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting fair, thorough, empathetic, independent and timely investigations and grievances, developing and following country-specific, compliant processes to address employee concerns in an appropriate manner that is consistent with Company policies and applicable regulations and laws;
  • Efficiently draft comprehensive, high-quality investigation reports that clearly document findings, analysis, and provide clear, actionable recommendations for resolution;
  • Serve as the ER point of contact for managers, HR Business Partners (HRBPs), and senior leaders across 20+ countries, providing expert advice on complex ER issues;
  • Analyze evidence and data to arrive at a well-reasoned, compliant finding;
  • Manage cross-border investigations and advise stakeholders regarding country-specific disciplinary processes;
  • Develop compliant HR policies and practices and deliver training in these areas;
  • Support and advise managers and other stakeholders regarding complex and sensitive issues;
  • Help design and deliver effective training and coaching for managers and HRBPs on best practices for performance management, conflict resolution, policy adherence, and conducting internal fact-finding;
  • Develop, support, and advise stakeholders on performance management processes;
  • Develop, support, and advise stakeholders on redundancies, restructuring, and retrenchment processes;
  • Partner closely and effectively with business leaders and other key stakeholders, including the Head of International HRBPs, Labor & Employment Legal, and Compliance team members;
  • Skilled at developing analytics dashboards and analyzing data to proactively identify and address any concerning trends.
  • Requirements:
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Employee Relations, HR, or Employment Law, with a primary focus on conducting and managing complex workplace investigations and addressing grievances in a multinational environment; policy and training development; addressing performance management appropriately;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability in developing Employee Relations dashboards and reporting; agile with different Employee Relations technology platforms to manage Employee Relations matter;
  • Highly professionally mature and discreet; able to handle sensitive and confidential matters appropriately;
  • Highly adept and experienced at managing international Employee Relations processes and HR policy development independently;
  • Deep and proven knowledge of global employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions, EMEA is essential;
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize a high volume of complex cases simultaneously and timely meet deliverables expectations; able to set and meet country-specific service level agreements.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise investigation reports and/or summaries.
