We are currently recruiting for an Employee Relations Advisor to join the Ampol Group P&C team, based either in Sydney or Brisbane. You’ll work as part of a collaborative, supportive and flexible culture to provide Employee Relations (ER) advice and support to leaders and employees. The role will have the opportunity to support ER cases across a variety of locations (Australian, New Zealand & Singapore) and have opportunities for development through involvement in key strategic programs.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Employee case management across the Ampol Group, including the Retail Operations business. This covers investigations, disciplinary action, terminations and management of non-work related illness/injury matters;
  • Support leaders with interpretation of employment policies and processes, Awards, Enterprise Agreements and legislation;
  • Build credibility and strong stakeholder relationships with the business in the assigned region; and
  • Execute proactive compliance interventions to ensure compliance with all industrial instruments and relevant legislation.

 

About you

 

You will be an individual with excellent communication and customer service skills, who thoroughly enjoys providing ER and HR advice and wants to grow their knowledge. As a team player, you will provide support to both colleagues and the business.  You will also be able to work autonomously and work through problems with ambiguity.

 

Key skills and experience

 

  • 1-2 years experience in an ER/HR Advisory role or HR Operations role
  • Case management experience
  • A solid understanding of interpreting HR policies and processes
  • An exposure to Award / Enterprise Agreement application in the workplace
