About the team

In this role, you’ll be joining the New Hire Programs (NHP) Team. The NHP team is responsible for creating effective and delightful new hire experiences at Stripe. Overall, our goal is to create a comprehensive and personalized onboarding experience that fosters a sense of community and facilitates rapid ramp to productivity for new hires.

What you’ll do

We are looking for a dynamic Employee Onboarding Program Manager to support the new hire onboarding program in the Americas. You will be responsible for owning the new hire experience in AMER and partnering cross-functionally with teams and individuals across the business to plan and deliver Stripe’s new employee onboarding programming. You will partner closely with stakeholders across the company to build and deliver content that will help new Stripes understand our strategy, culture, users and products - while ensuring new employee onboarding runs smoothly. 

You are someone who is enthusiastic about providing a best in class employee onboarding experience for new hires. You are detail oriented and enjoy using your organizational skills across teams to create seamless experiences for your users. You are excited about the employee experience and can approach situations from the lens of your end-user and are adaptable and flexible with change.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate ~bi-weekly new employee onboarding sessions live & in-person for AMER from our HQ office in South San Francisco (Oyster Point) 
  • Partner with regional program managers to ensure new employee onboarding programming aligns around the world while developing region-specific content as needed
  • Partner with the Onboarding Effectiveness Program Manager to dive in to metrics and uncover optimization opportunities for the program in AMER
  • Be a point of contact for change management and program optimization for AMER
  • Provide an excellent user experience to new Stripes and their related groups (managers, facilitators and spin-up buddies) by actively addressing questions and troubleshooting issues as they relate to the onboarding process
  • Partner with the Onboarding Coordinator to manage logistics of scheduling onboarding sessions, facilitators and participants in AMER
  • Partner with the wider People Operations team and other cross functional teams to improve the current state of our global program related to effectiveness, training, research and compliance
  • Use and manage our learning management system (LMS) to develop and share content

Minimum requirements

  • At least 7-9+ years of Onboarding, Learning & Development, or People Programs experience 
  • Proven facilitator skills coupled with a passion for blended and engaging facilitation
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with varying priorities and influence at a senior level
  • Ability to scale programs effectively and efficiently
  • Experience bringing people programs together seamlessly 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Incredible organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Resilience, the ability to shift priorities based on business needs, and the ability to make fast initial progress on goals while iterating where needed

Preferred qualifications

  • Instructional design experience and expertise 
  • Experience with HRIS tool Workday 
  • Experience with tooling such as Asana, Intellum (LMS), Slack
  • Comfortable working with data and metrics to influence and inform strategy
