Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding an Employee Benefits Group Account Manager to their Acentria team in the Raleigh/Durham, NC metro region. 

Job Summary:

The Employee Benefits Group Account Manager is responsible for the delivering outstanding customer service to our employee benefits clients by managing policy renewals, adding new policies, implementing additional resources specific to the clients' needs, and supporting overall client retention efforts.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage and service a portfolio of employee benefits clients, serving as the primary point of contact for all service-related needs
  • Coordinate and execute policy renewals, additions, and coverage modifications to align with client goals
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and scheduled meetings, including client and employee education sessions
  • Review and verify new and renewal policies for accuracy in rating, coverages, and terms
  • Collaborate with producers on strategy and planning for both new business and renewals
  • Deliver exceptional customer service in partnership with insurance carriers and internal teams
  • Interacts with others effectively and professionally by utilizing excellent communications skills, cooperating purposefully, and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the agency
  • Stay current on employee benefits trends, products, compliance regulations, and technology advancement

Competencies & Qualifications: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Comfortable working with numbers and performing basic calculations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to changing priorities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong working knowledge of insurance brokerage industry including products, rating, underwriting, coverage and industry operations

Education & Experience:

  • 3 years of account management experience preferred
  • Life & Health Insurance License
  • College degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of Employee Navigator preferred
