Eminent Domain Associate - CA Based required

The successful candidate will be based in California and will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation on issues pertaining to eminent domain.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and other court documents
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and other legal proceedings
  • Prepare and present evidence at administrative and judicial hearings
  • Advise clients on legal issues related to eminent domain, including valuation, compensation, and eminent domain law
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals, including paralegals and other attorneys
  • Manage and prioritize a high volume of cases, ensuring that all deadlines are met
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the California Bar
  • 4+ years’ complex litigation experience, with public agency acquisitions, eminent domain and inverse condemnation litigation
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving ability
