This is a full-time, on-site role located in Toronto, ON for an Embroidery Supervisor. Night shift - 4.30 pm to 1am

The Embroidery Supervisor will oversee daily operations of the embroidery department, including managing staff, ensuring quality standards, maintaining equipment, and coordinating production schedules. This individual will supervise and train team members, troubleshoot production issues, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of industrial embroidery machines and software for troubleshooting and guidance. 

  • Extensive experience with Embroidery Digitizing Software (Tajima preferred / Ioline acceptable) for creating and modifying embroidery files (CDR to EXP, adding stops, grouping, DST format).

  • Manage production schedules, prioritize tasks, and proactively ensure deadlines are met. Adapt to a dynamic, high-pressure environment with fluctuating priorities.

  • Coordinate effectively with the embroidery team, production management, and other departments. Ensure timely delivery and resolve production issues.

  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail to identify errors early and uphold high quality standards.

  • Quickly diagnose and resolve issues with machines, files, or materials to minimize downtime. Proactively identify and report potential challenges.

  • Provide effective leadership to the embroidery team, fostering efficient workflows, meeting deadlines, and maintaining quality.

  • Effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently, especially in demanding situations.

  • Cultivate a positive and motivating work environment to enhance employee engagement and productivity in a high-velocity setting.

 

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in embroidery production.

  • Experience in supervising and managing a team

  • Familiarity with embroidery machines, embroidery software, and production techniques

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Quality control and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

  • Technical skills in machine maintenance and troubleshooting

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in textiles or related field is a plus
