We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join our team and work on security-focused embedded devices used in both automotive and building protection systems.
In this role, you will develop firmware for microcontroller-based products such as vehicle security modules, alarm control panels, communication devices, and other connected security solutions.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Develop and maintain embedded C/C++ software for microcontroller-based security devices used in automotive and building protection systems
  • Design and implement firmware for embedded systems integrated with vehicle electronics and security infrastructure
  • Develop security-related functionality such as immobilization, locking control, alarm management, remote control, and device communication
  • Ensure system stability, reliability, fault tolerance, and cybersecurity compliance
  • Debug and validate embedded systems using laboratory equipment and diagnostic tools (JTAG, CAN analyzers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate firmware with custom electronic designs

Requirements

  • Experience in embedded systems development using C/C++
  • Understanding of microcontroller architecture and low-level programming principles
  • Experience with debugging tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or CAN analyzers
  • Understanding of real-time systems and multitasking architectures
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in technically complex environment

Nice to have

  • Experience with automotive electronics, CAN communication, or vehicle systems
  • Experience developing firmware for alarm systems, IoT devices, or communication modules
  • Experience with embedded communication protocols or wireless connectivity

Salary:

We appreciate everyone's efforts and experiences, so we offer an attractive salary that will match your skillset and expertise in the field. The salary for this position ranges from 17 Eur/h up to 40 Eur/h (~2840 Eur – ~6700 Eur) pre-tax, depending on your experience and expertise.

*In an employment agreement we specify and define a fixed (tariff) hourly salary rate before taxes.
