Embedded Security Coordinator - Douala, Cameroon

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced individual to be part of our embedded consultant team based at a client location in Douala, Cameroon. The successful candidate will be be an established security professional with a background in physical site security.


You will be based at our clients site in Douala, with oversight of the security function of their busy operation. Work will involve managing day to day site security, access control and associated reporting.

The core deliverables you will be responsible for are:

 

  • Management of physical and procedural security at the client site.
  • Implementing and managing access control protocols
  • Management of contracted guard force.
  • Coordinating journey management.
  • Maintenance of a network of contacts locally.
  • Proactively reporting on security related developments in the area of operations.
  • Drafting regular security reports
  • Ensuring strong physical security infrastructure is in place around the site, reporting on deficiencies and advising on corrective actions.
  • Responding to security related incidents
  • Conducting investigations as required.

Requirements

The role requires the following key qualities in a candidate:

 

  • At least three years experience in a physical security management role
  • Cameroonian citizen with fluent French speaking and writing skills essential.
  • English language skills and advantage.
  • Strong ability in producing written reports
  • Experience in managing site physical security
  • A well established network on contacts in the Douala area.
  • Experience in guard force management
  • Experience in implementing journey management protocols  
  • An ability to work closely with clients to understand the implications of issues identified in the course of planning / delivery and provide constructive input towards their identification of solutions
  • The right candidate will be a proactive team player, able to maintain a positive attitude under pressure and collegiate relationships with clients and contractors
