Elixir Engineer: Observability

About the role

We are seeking backend Elixir experts who are knowledgeable in globally distributed applications that will focus on developing and improving our Observability product as we need to scale up our observability stack to cater for more users and to widen the telemetry provided by Supabase to all our customers.

What you'll own

• Help building a connector for ClickHouse that will allow the product to grow while also providing a better self hosting experience to our users

• Enrich our OTEL ingestion pipeline to cover the full specification while also ensuring our ingestion performance is high

• Work with our infrastructure team to guide them on the optimizations required for our specific use case of Kubernetes

What you bring

• 5+ years of experience workin with Elixir/Erlang in production

• Experience with clustered Elixir applications

• Knowledge of ClickHouse and its internals

• Have a deep understanding of the OTEL standard

• Have worked with Kubernetes applications and understand the requirements and pitfalls of using it with the BeamVM
