Electronics Repair Specialist

RMC is hiring a Electronics Repair Specialist to support our customer in Dahlgren, VA.  The selected applicant will: 

• Responsible for maintaining, conducting periodic maintenance, and supporting Guidance Test Set (GTS) test events.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues down to the circuit board level and fabricating custom cables.
• Travel (CONUS and OCONUS) and support shipboard and field test events as needed. 

Requirements

• Active SECRET clearance (DoD) is required to start.
• Three (3) years of general maintenance and repair experience in computer based electro-mechanical equipment.
• J-STD-001 solder certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of start.
• Operator IPC 620 (wire harness and cable) certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of start.

• Demonstrated ability to solder multi-layer circuit cards, cables, and connectors.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze circuit card assemblies to identify problems at the component level.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Ability to travel (CONUS and OCONUS) and embark naval vessels. 
• Work with electrical diagnostic tools.
• Follow existing procedures for equipment at the component, chassis, or system level.
• Perform research on Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) material.

“Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $85,000 to $124,000 annually.”
