What You’ll Accomplish:

  • Take responsibility for the electronics lab, including all the equipment.  
  • Own the Health and Safety aspects and drive 5S principles. 
  • Support all design, build and testing of the electronics systems. 
  • Develop your experience in a broad range of electronics engineering subject areas. 
  • Maintain the multidisciplinary collaboration with mechanical engineers, software engineers, and physicists, working towards a common goal. 
  • Assist in planning and scheduling of the Electronic lab, reporting progress and addressing issues.  
  • Engage with facilities planning activities and risk management.  
  • Organise fast turnaround PCBA and/or test rig builds. 

Requirements

The 3 Most Critical Attributes We’ll Use to Compare Candidates:

  1. Good knowledge of electronics circuit theory and good EM field theory, including noise analysis and physical device knowledge. 
  2. Basic PCB schematic and layout experience using CAD tools, good manufacturing process knowledge and excellent verification/debug skills using electronics test equipment.  
  3. Strong sense of ownership with a pro-active approach on setting up and maintaining. electronics lab environments.  

 

Must-have Skills:  

  • 1 to 5 years of experience in working with electronics components, circuit boards, wiring, soldering, tools and test equipment. 
  • Ability to read and interpret electronics schematics.  
  • Use of spectrum analysers and oscilloscopes. 
  • Experience in building test setups from an electronical, electronics and mechanical side. 
  • Experience of working with suppliers and contractors. 
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Team Player. 
  • Degree or completed coursework in engineering or electronics or a related discipline. 
  • Proficient in German and English 

 

Nice-to-have Skills:

  • Experience of C and/or scripting languages e.g. Python and Matlab. 
  • Experience with Labview.
