Electronics Engineer - Contract Electronics Engineer (6-Month Contract) Employment Type: Contract (6 months) Experience Level: Mid to Senior Level Work Arrangement: Hybrid (on-site 3-4 days per week; some weeks may require full-time on-site presence) We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer for a 6-month contract position to support a critical electronics manufacturing project. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), design for manufacturing (DEMF), and testing, with the ability to work collaboratively with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure successful product integration. What you will get to do:
  • Electronics Manufacturing Management: Oversee the manufacturing of 4 printed circuit boards (PCBs), wiring harnesses, connectors, and integration with internal battery power systems
  • Supplier Collaboration: Travel to supplier location in Jasper, Indiana (1038 E. 15th St., Jasper, IN 47546) approximately 3-5 times during the 6-month project duration to provide technical support and oversight
  • Process Development & Validation: Document all process development activities and validations required for full integration of designed components
  • Verification & Validation (V&V): Bridge design components into V&V activities, including process development, process validation, and production documentation
  • Technical Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation to support manufacturing processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
  • What will make you successful:
  • Proven experience with PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) processes
  • Strong background in DEMF (Design for Manufacturing) principles
  • Hands-on testing and validation experience
  • Proficiency with the following software tools:
  • 1PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)
  • SLMS (System Lifecycle Management Software)
  • Valgenesis (validation software)
  • E-CAD (Electronic Computer-Aided Design)
  • Microsoft Office Suite
