Electrical Maintenance Technician - Solar PV

Oversee maintenance and installation of electrical systems while providing leadership to junior technicians in innovative renewable energy projects.

- Perform routine and advanced maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently, and repair or replace faulty components to ensure system reliability.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for maintenance and training, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Assist in the installation of new electrical systems and equipment.
- Provide leadership, technical support, and mentorship to junior technicians, and collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to ensure timely resolutions.
- Extensive experience in electrical maintenance, repair, and installation.
- Knowledge of HV/LV systems and communication networks is desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and basic computer skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed.
- Experience in the renewable energy sector is a plus.
- NSW Electrical Supervisor's or Contractor's License
- Valid Driver's License
- First Aid LVR/CPR Certified
- High Risk Work Licenses (boom lift, forklift, dogging, rigging, telehandler etc.)
- Working at Heights desirable
- HV electrical qualification desirable.
- Valid Working Rights (no sponsorship option)
