Electrical Estimator

Develop cost estimates for EV infrastructure projects while collaborating with sales engineers and managing project risks within a fast-growing startup.

The Opportunity

InCharge Energy is seeking a highly organized Electrical Estimator to develop accurate estimates for EV charging and electrification rollouts. The position reports directly to the Senior Electrical Estimator.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with Account Executives, Sales Engineers, and Project Managers to develop cost estimates for EV infrastructure projects
  • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to review project scope, requirements, and technical specifications
  • Conduct site assessments and evaluations to gather information required for accurate cost estimation
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, material lists, and labor requirements for each project
  • Use industry-standard estimating software and tools to produce accurate and competitive project estimates
  • Research and analyze market rates, vendor quotes, and historical cost data to ensure cost-effective pricing
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive bids and pricing
  • Identify potential risks, challenges, and opportunities within each project and communicate findings to the team
  • Maintain and update cost databases to support efficient and accurate estimating
  • Participate in project review meetings to provide cost insights and recommendations

Your Experience and Capabilities

  • 7-10+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably with an electrical contractor with prior electrical project management experience preferred
  • Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and EV charging infrastructure, including integration with solar projects, highly desired
  • Hands-on field project management experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with cost estimating software and tools with ConEst preferred
  •  Ability to adapt to the evolving needs of a fast-growing startup environment
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Salesforce, Procore, or similar platforms a plus
  • Journeyman Electrician required with Master Electrician highly preferred

US Salary Range
$80,000$115,000 USD
