The successful candidate will be responsible for covering all engineering requirements for multiple factories/facilities.

Reporting to our Senior Engineering Manager, the role is accountable for maintaining the integrity, reliability and safety of Weetabix’s electrical equipment. This includes equipment strategy, management of day-to-day maintenance and ensuring compliance

The Recipe (About the Role)

  • Guide the development and execution of electrical and controls obsolescence plans
  • Provide a single point of leadership for all Weetabix electrical standards across the site
  • Ensure the controls team maintains and develops the necessary skills to support and enhance operational capability
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for:

o Electromagnetic Fields (EMF)

o Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER)

o Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR)

  • Serve as Duty Holder for Ionising Radiation (IRR) and Electrical Safety.
  • Contractor manager for key electrical assets and equipment across the site.
  • Develop and implement training and succession plans for the electrical team and other relevant departments.
  • Own and manage the central engineering electrical budget.
  • Support and advise on the development of IT systems that enable plant improvement and effective data capture.
  • Set and maintain site-wide policies and standards for Electrical and Control Systems equipment.

  • Degree, HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering Discipline
  • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development
  • Experience in budget management
