Electrical Engineer (Lighting/ SwitchGear Experience)

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in lighting systems, electrical control systems, and/or switchgear to join our team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and oversee electrical systems for commercial, industrial, or institutional projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, design proficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. This position offers 3 days of remote work each week. Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement electrical systems, including lighting, electrical control systems, and/or switchgear configurations.

Prepare electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications using CAD or electrical design software.

Perform load calculations, short circuit studies, and system coordination analysis.

Select and specify electrical equipment, lighting fixtures, control panels, and switchgear components.

Ensure designs comply with applicable codes (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, etc.) and client requirements.

Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, contractors, and vendors to coordinate design and construction activities.

Conduct site visits for field inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Review and approve shop drawings and submittals.

Assist with cost estimation, project scheduling, and procurement activities.

Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
