We are currently seeking an Expert-level Elastic Engineer to support the development and maintenance of our on-premises observability infrastructure, including Elastic Search, Kibana, and OpenTelemetry (OTel), deployed on Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Elastic technologies, automated deployment processes, and Terraform, with strong experience in CI/CD and DevOps practices.
This is a remote position, and EU citizenship is required for eligibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve Elastic Search infrastructure on Kubernetes (on-premises).
- Implement and manage automated deployment and configuration processes for Elastic Search and Kibana resources.
- Support the day-to-day operations of Elastic Search and Observability platforms.
- Utilize OpenTelemetry (OTel) to standardize telemetry data collection (logs, metrics, traces).
- Monitor observability infrastructure performance and ensure system reliability.
- Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
- Establish and maintain standardized deployment procedures for information systems.
- Conduct technical reviews, provide assurance, and design deployment strategies.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and related tooling.
- Participate in agile sprints and tasks assigned by the product owners.
Requirements

More than 9 years of professional experience in ICT (e.g., as a developer, system administrator, infrastructure engineer, or DevOps engineer).

At least 5 years of experience in systems and IT operations.

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with the Elastic Search and Kibana technology stack.

Minimum 1 year of experience with Observability and OpenTelemetry (OTel).

At least 3 years of experience working with Agile methodologies.

Minimum 1 year of experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Excellent knowledge of:
- Elastic Search stack and its lifecycle (patch, upgrade, maintain)
- Observability & Application Performance Metrics using Elastic stack
- OpenTelemetry tools and frameworks
- Good knowledge of:
- DevOps principles and CI/CD automation
- Infrastructure as Code design and implementation using Terraform
- Required Certification: Elastic Certified Engineer
- Desirable Certifications:
- Elastic Observability Engineer
- Terraform Associate
- Fluency in English (minimum B2 level as per CEFR)
- University degree (Bachelor's or higher)
