About the Position
FiscalNote is seeking an Editorial Operations Specialist to join our CQ Roll Call Content team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of transcript production tasks, ensuring transcripts are accurate, consistent, and delivered on time. Working within established editorial workflows, you will collaborate closely with content, proofreading, and production teams to maintain high quality standards and support reliable, on-time delivery. This position plays a key role in the ongoing success of our transcript products and partners closely with the Team Lead and Production Manager to keep operations running smoothly.

What To Expect In This Position
Edit, proof, and polish transcripts for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
Work closely with content and proofreading teams to ensure all transcripts maintain high editorial standards.
Identify and correct issues related to formatting, speaker identification, and context.
Add and verify metadata such as speakers, event links, and other key details.
Format, finalize, and publish daily transcripts with both speed and precision.
Support the transcript production pipeline by tracking progress, meeting deadlines, and flagging issues to the Team Lead or Production Manager as needed.
Occasionally add new events into the system, ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
Communicate regularly with content, proofreading, and production teams to keep workflows aligned, resolve routine issues, and escalate risks or blockers to the Team Lead or Production Manager.
Follow established editorial standards and contribute feedback to help improve documentation and processes over time.
Stay up to date on U.S. politics, especially congressional activity.
What Sets You Apart
1–2 years of experience in an editorial, content operations, or production environment, with hands-on responsibility for editing, proofreading, or quality control
Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and consistency across high-volume content.
Clear and professional communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally to meet deadlines and resolve issues
Comfort learning and working within internal tools, content management systems, or production workflows
Ability to manage recurring responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and adapt quickly in a deadline-driven environment
Familiarity with current events, particularly U.S. politics or congressional proceedings, or a strong interest in developing subject-matter expertise in this area
The drive to self-motivate, self-direct, be flexible, proactively anticipate problems and address them with solutions within a fast-paced environment
Experience with product delivery
