The Role:
The Editorial and Commercial Content Lead is responsible for how editorial and commercial content is planned, produced and distributed across both owned and paid channels. This role owns the content strategy for owned platforms and leads editorial operations, ensuring content is engaging, accurate, on-brand and delivered efficiently. The main focus is on sports related content.
As Editorial and Commercial Content Lead, you are expected to:
Own and manage content calendars across multiple sites, focusing on both editorial and commercial priorities
Plan publishing schedules and workflows across editorial, commercial, social, CRM and video content, adapting storytelling and formats to each platform
Oversee editorial projects from planning through delivery
Lead, manage, recruit and onboard writers, editors, freelancers and content creators
Coordinate content production and clearly define responsibilities across the team
Manage translation processes to ensure quality and consistency across markets
Review and quality-control content to ensure high editorial standards, accuracy and tonal consistency
Ensure all content is delivered on time and meets internal and external requirements
Create, write, edit and quality-assure content when needed
Work closely with SEO teams to ensure all content is optimized for search performance
Manage content production budgets
Collaborate cross-functionally to support broader business goals
Success in this role means:
Consistent delivery of high-quality content across written, social and video formats
Accurate, timely coverage of relevant topics and events
Strong and consistent performance across all content channels
Improved SEO results and increased search visibility
Efficient workflows, clear editorial processes, and strong cross-team collaboration
Proven experience producing and overseeing sports content, particularly for digital and social platforms
Strong interest in and knowledge of sports
Native-level Swedish, with the ability to write clearly, accurately and idiomatically
Excellent editorial judgment and attention to detail across multiple content formats
Experience managing content calendars, workflows and publishing schedules
Experience leading and collaborating with writers, editors, freelancers and content creators
Ability to work closely with SEO and other cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
Experience supporting or leading PR initiatives
Background in digital publishing, media or sports media organizations
