Paired is a global staffing and recruiting agency that specializes in pairing remote work with top-tier talent!
We are dedicated to connecting talented individuals with remarkable companies in need of their skills. Our goal is to create fulfilling job opportunities for professionals around the world.
We're hiring an Ecommerce Growth Manager/Director of Ecommerce Growth to own Shopify end-to-end: catalog, merchandising, promotions, CRO, experimentation, and onsite conversion.
You'll architect strategy and execute it yourself, not hand it off.
This is not a “Head of Ecommerce” role where you centralize everything and become a bottleneck.
It’s an operator seat.
You’ll work alongside our dev partners, UX/UI designers, retention team, creative team, and channel owners (Amazon, influencers, paid media). While this role is acquisition-oriented, it requires strong cross-channel judgment. You will own onsite lead capture and conversion mechanics (email/SMS popups, first-session flows, pre-purchase conversion paths) and work closely with retention to ensure what we acquire converts and sticks. If you’re the person who improves revenue every week (not every quarter), makes decisive calls under uncertainty, and treats experimentation as a tool - then keep reading
What You'll Own
- Shopify operations: End-to-end ownership of catalog structure, products, variants, collections, tags, and metafields, with a deep working knowledge of Shopify admin.
- Promotions and discounts: Setup, QA, mechanic design, guardrails to protect margin and revenue integrity.
- Site merchandising: PDP structure, landing flows, upsells, bundles, conversion pathways.
- CRO and experimentation: Idea intake → prioritization → setup → launch → readout → decision → rollout. You run tests that answer real questions, not testing theater.
- Release readiness: Launch-week execution, content swaps, rollbacks, QA. You're in the details when it matters.
What Success Looks Like
First 30 days:
- Full audit of current Shopify catalog, promo logic, and site structure complete.
- Identified top 3–5 revenue opportunities based on data, not intuition.
- Shipped at least one meaningful improvement (not a plan—an actual change live on site).
- Established working rhythm with dev, UX, and CTO partners.
First 60 days:
- Experimentation pipeline running: clear intake process, prioritized backlog, tests in market.
- Delivered measurable lift on at least one primary metric (CVR, AOV, or revenue per session).
- Promos and discount logic tightened—no leakage, no customer confusion, no margin erosion.
First 90 days:
- Consistent weekly shipping cadence established.
- Clear documentation of what's working, what's not, and what's next.
- Demonstrated ability to make tradeoffs between CVR, AOV, velocity, and customer experience—and defend them with data
Requirements
You Should Apply If:
- You have 5–10+ years of hands-on Shopify ecommerce experience, ideally DTC.
- You know Shopify operations deeply: catalog architecture, promos, theme coordination, QA. Not conceptually—practically.
- You've run CRO and experimentation programs with pragmatic decision-making. You understand statistical significance but don't hide behind it.
- You think in revenue levers and funnel economics, not just "site improvements."
- You can architect strategy and personally execute a meaningful portion of it. You're not a passive coordinator.
- You prioritize ruthlessly. You understand opportunity cost. You ship.
- You communicate clearly and concisely. You make decisions, not decks.
Nice to haves:
- Subscription ecommerce experience.
- CPG brand experience.
- Experience with A/B testing tools (Convert, VWO, Optimizely, etc.) and analytics platforms.
This Role Is Not For You If:
- Your Shopify experience is surface-level or secondhand.
- You're primarily an Amazon or marketplace operator.
- You're a Shopify developer/architect looking to own the technical stack.
- You come from merchandising-heavy retail (fashion, apparel) without funnel economics
- orientation.
- You default to "it depends" and move slowly.
- You over-index on methodology, frameworks, or process over shipping and outcomes.
