The APAC Markets & Subscribers (M&S) team is looking for a Market Strategy & Operations Analyst to join our APAC MSO team under the Early Career Program, which is an immersive 24- month program to bring early career talent to Spotify to learn about the audio business.
Market Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting data analysis, market monitoring and report development to help drive strategic decisions. You will work closely with regional and country teams to supervise market performance, extract insights from dashboards, and develop reports that highlight key trends and opportunities in the industry. In this position, you will work closely with local and regional functional leadership, reporting to the APAC MSO Head.
What You'll Do
Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and key market movements
Analyze dashboards and data sources to extract insights and identify potential opportunities for growth and improvement
Provide written and verbal data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making
Track and report on key market KPIs, ensuring accurate and timely insights
Prepare slides, reports, and documents that summarize market performance, competitive intelligence, and key highlights
Support regular business reviews with structured analysis and reporting
Assist in the execution of regional planning frameworks and processes
Support cross-functional teams with data inputs and insights to inform strategy
Contribute to internal communications by synthesizing complex data into clear, actionable takeaways
Assist in evaluating strategic market opportunities through data analysis
Collaborate with teams to solve operational challenges and improve reporting processes
Step in to support execution and implementation of strategic projects when needed
Who You Are
A minimum of 2+ experience in data analysis, business intelligence, strategy, or operations, preferably in management consulting, investment banking, internet/tech companies in APAC market
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and extract key insights
Proficiency in Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), SQL knowledge is a plus
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a structured and strategic approach
Strong communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear recommendations
Ability to create concise, visually compelling presentations to support business reviews and strategy discussions
Well-organized, diligent, and comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously
Experience collaborating with cross-functional and international teams
A self-starter with a flexible, curious, and proactive attitude
Passion for technology, digital media, or music is a plus
Proficiency in English is a must, along with Korean language skills
An MBA degree is a plus
