Job description:

We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 CE Functional Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Dynamics 365 CE platform, with previous experience in functional consulting, particularly in Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service. The role involves collaborating with clients to gather requirements, designing and configuring solutions, providing guidance on best practices, and contributing to pre-sales activities within this busy and dynamic technology area of our business.

A D365 Functional Consultant plays a key role in translating business requirements into effective Dynamics 365 / Power Platform solutions. They must have strong analytical and communication skills to engage with stakeholders, gather and document requirements, and configure the platform to meet business needs. The role involves leading workshops, creating functional specifications, and supporting testing and training activities. Functional Consultants also contribute to presales by shaping solution approaches and demonstrating platform capabilities. With approximately 80% billable work, they remain hands-on throughout delivery, ensuring solutions are aligned with business goals and implemented to a high standard.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with customers to gather and document functional requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs.
• Design, configure, and customise D365 CE applications to align with client requirements, mapping requirements to product capabilities and performing fit gap analysis.
• Deliver workshops, demos and training sessions to customers.
• Provide guidance on best practices for utilising D365 to optimise business processes including business process assessments and recommendations.
• Collaborate with technical resources on solution architecture, custom development, integrations and data migrations.
• Perform system testing, quality assurance, and issue resolution.
• Create appropriate documentation including FRDs, Solution designs, user guides, training material for Waterfall, Agile and hybrid delivery.
• Stay up to date with the latest D365 CE updates, features and industry recommended practices.
• Contribute to pre-sales activity, including scoping, proposal development and client presentations.
