Drone Instructor/Drone Pilot/UAV Technician

TLDR

Conduct drone flight missions and instruct students on handling UAVs, covering safety procedures and operational standards while delivering tailored lessons.

- $2,500 – $3,200

Responsibilities:

Pilot Responsibilities:
- Perform drone flight missions across various project types, ensuring operational safety and effectiveness.
- Plan flight routes, conduct equipment setup, and carry out on-site UAV operations.
- Conduct post-processing tasks such as video editing, orthophoto stitching, and the generation of complete deliverables (e.g., visual media, reports, datasets).
- Maintain and troubleshoot UAV systems, ensuring all equipment is in working condition.
- Assist with internal test flights, flight demonstrations, and data collection efforts.
- Ensure all operations comply with company SOPs and aviation regulatory requirements.

Instructor Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver lessons tailored to different student levels and learning needs.
- Provide instruction on drone components, flight controls, safety procedures, and local airspace regulations.
- Teach hands-on skills in drone handling, aerial maneuvers, and mission execution.
- Help students build confidence in their flight and troubleshooting skills.
- Intervene and take over control of the UAV during emergency or unsafe situations during training.
- Track, document, and report on student performance and progress.
- Inform students when they are ready for theory and practical flight assessments.
- Report all training-related incidents or accidents to the Head of Department.

Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in any discipline (or equivalent qualification).
- Fast learner with strong hands-on and technical abilities.
- Genuine interest in drones and a desire to grow within the UAV industry.
- Positive attitude and ability to overcome challenges in the field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; team-oriented.
- Willingness to travel and work in outdoor environments as needed.
- No UAV experience required – comprehensive training will be provided.
